From Bangkok to Ban Pae sub-district of the Rayong province, approximately 202 kilometres. Take Srirat Expressway (Route 7), follow signs for Din Daeng / Rama IX / Airport straight way onto Route 7 and follow signs for Chon Buri / Bang Saen / Pattaya after that follow sign for Rayoung to take the exit toward Route 36. Continue straight to stay on Route 36 and use the right lane to turn sightly right will merge onto Route 3 -Sukhumvit Rd. Turn right at Ban Phe Junction onto Sukhaphiban 2 Rd.
From Rayong province to Ban Pae sub-district, approximately 40 kilometres. By car traveling time approximately 25 - 30 minutes. Take straight onto Sukhumvit Rd. (Route 3) and Turn right at Ban Phe Junction onto Sukhaphiban 2 Rd.
Transport by Bus
By public bus from the Eastern Bus Terminal of Bangkok (locally called "Ekamai" Bus Station), traveling time approximately 3.0 - 3.5 hours.
Transport by Minibus (Van)
Convenient by minibus service that leave regularly (every 30 minutes or when full) from the Eastern Bus Terminal of Bangkok (locally called "Ekamai" Bus Station) in Bangkok directly to Ban Pae. Travelling time approximately 2.5 - 3 hours. The problem is that the minibus doesn't have much space when carry a big bag may to pay extra seat for it.
From Rayoung province to Ban Pae sub-district

Once arrive at Ban Pae in Rayong province, there are many piers offering boat rides to Samed Island's pier, or another way by rental speed boat that can be varied depending on the beach destinations that you are going.

Sai Kaew beach - Is the first beach when you come Samed island. This is famous beach of Samed island that Thai and foreign visitors Known. Sai Kaew beach has white sand, water sports and plethora accommodations (hotels, resorts, and bungalows)
Sai Kaew beach is located in the North-East and it is about 800 meters from Samed pier that we can walk to this beach.
Ao Phai - The location close with the Sai Keaw beach (300 meters from it).
